My Family Life
For those of you who don’t know much about me, my name is Kayla Spivey. I am recently married to my best friend Tyler. We have 3 dogs together. Ivy, Harley Quinn, and Robin. I’m a huge batman fan so you might recognize my dogs name as they are a part of my Gotham world.
You will often find me traveling or playing video games, because I’m a little bit of a nerd. My husband and I often attended weddings together have kind of the best 2nd shooter a wedding photographer can have. I’m a huge animal lover so if you offer to bring your animals to any shoot my answer is always going to be yes. I’m located in Tyler Texas and I love to travel around so suggesting to travel for any shoot and I’m going to say yes!
Why do I do what I do?
Photography has been my passion since I was a little girl. I love to create amazing memories with my clients and provide them with these timeless treasures to last a lifetime. It is so rewarding to see my clients come out of their shells and show their fun and quirky sides. I try to put my clients at ease with my easy and comfortable flow while taking their photos.
What is my favorite part of the wedding?
This is a hard question because there are just so many parts of a wedding that I love. If I had to choose just one, I would pick the moment when the bride gets into her dress and gets to surprise her dad for the first time. Seeing the tears of pure happiness between a father and daughter touches my heart every time.
What is my creative process?
I love Pinterest, and so do a lot of my clients. I normally ask my clients to create a Pinterest board or share their favorite photos so that we can bounce idea’s back and forth between us to prepare for their session.
What is your technical process?
Timeline, Timeline, Timeline, is everything. I will work with the bride or the wedding coordinator on your special day to follow a scheduled timeline to ensure that you not only get all the amazing photos you want from your big day, but that your wedding stays on track.
What do I want my clients to know about me?
I’m super fun and charismatic to be around and I want to ensure that you get everything you ever dreamed of on your special day. That means, I’m not just your photographer. I’m your friend, your seamstress, your errand runner…anything…you name it and I will have it covered for you. That’s who I am and I consider it an honor that you chose me as your photographer. It is my mission to provide you with an experience that is as stress-free as possible on your special day. I am very organized, and I try to keep you and your bridal party on track. Just know every decision I make will be in your best interest!
